India Sports Club Incorporated (ISC) is a young association of Sports Clubs of Indian origin in NSW with plans to cover all clubs of Indian Sub-Continent origin in Australia.

ISC was incorporated in 2003 with an intention promote community sports, mainly cricket and following that success has taken on organisation of other sporting activities like badminton, table tennis etc. which are popular with the Indian Sub-Continent community, here in Sydney in particular and Australia in general.

ISC has already succeeded in unearthing some very rare talents in the Community like Jay Poria who is now on the verge of representing NSW under-19 cricket team, Spoorti Ratan who has already represented NSW and Australia in Badminton and now knocking on the doors of the Australian Olympic Team, Stephan Henriques who is representing Australian Junior table tennis team.

However one of the most important achievements of ISC has been it’s affiliation to Cricket NSW through NSW Districts Cricket Association as it’s 31st member. Thanks to help and advice of Dr.Harry Harinath (Director, Cricket Australia), David Gilbert (CEO Cricket NSW), Col Booth (Dy. Chairman, NSW Districts Cricket Association) and Eric Myatt (Secretary, Parramatta Districts Cricket Association), ISC’s application for membership to NSW Districts Cricket Association was approved in September 2006. This has put ISC on Australian Cricket map and made ISC as a member of NSW Cricket family. ISC is out to prove to the cricketing peers around Australia that ISC is a worthy and strong member of NSW Cricket.

ISC has now entered Telegraph Shield Cricket Tournament organised by NSW Districts Cricket Association and fielding a young ISC team with a view to try and groom young talent through participation in these junior tournaments.

ISC, through membership of NSW Districts Cricket Association, would like to fulfil it’s long term vision of seeing some of the boys and girls groomed by ISC represent NSW and then Australian National teams.
